The Faculty Council

The Faculty Council is the Faculty's administrative body. It comprises 23 members. Fifteen of these are elected by the Faculty staff, four are elected by the founder (The Republic of Serbia) and the remaining four by the Faculty's Student Parliament.

The members of the Council elected by the founder are:

  • Svetozar Stojanović (Ph.D.), head of the Serbian-American center, a professor at the University of Belgrade and a visiting professor at several European and American universities;
  • Slobodan Divjak, manager of Radio Belgrade, a translator and a writer in the field of philosophy and the theory of politics and geopolitics;
  • Momčilo Pavlović (Ph.D.), head of the Institute for Contemporary History in Belgrade;
  • Tomislav Đurin, from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia and Military Intelligence Agency - the Department for International Co-operation.

The members of the Council who teach at the Faculty are:

The members of the Council from the non-teaching staff are:

The members of the Council who are students at the Faculty are:

The Council's in charge of:

  • adopting the Statute, according to the proposals of the Academic Council;
  • electing and relieving deans and vice-deans;
  • adopting a financial plan for the Faculty, according to the proposals of the Academic Council;
  • the annual financial management report and audit, according to the proposals of the Academic Council;
  • adopting a plan for the use of finances in investments, according to the proposals of the Academic Council;
  • deciding on the formation of internal organizational units, according to the proposals of the Academic Council;
  • approving the decisions on the management of the Faculty's property;
  • approving the allotment of finances;
  • deciding on the size of student tuition fees, according to the proposals of the Academic Council;
  • submitting financial management reports to the Serbian Government at least once a year;
  • adopting its own rules of procedure;
  • electing an external auditor for the financial management of the Faculty;
  • deciding on establishing legal persons i.e. a branch to connect higher education, science and practice, such as a center for the transfer of technologies, innovations center, a park of technology and business and other organizational units, according to the law and with the approval of the University's Senate;
  • conducting other activities in accordance with the law and the Statute;
