Doctoral degree studies are available to:
-
Candidates who have completed the master's degree studies or integrated studies and earned at least 300 ECTS credits with a GPA of at least 8 (eight) at the basic graduate and master's degree studies;
-
Candidates who have completed the master's degree studies and earned at least 300 ECTS credits and who have achieved the following academic results: at least three original academic papers published in journals of national importance or one paper published in an international magazine acknowledged by the Ministry of Science of The Republic of Serbia;

Candidates who have obtained an MA degree, if they do not register a doctoral degree thesis, in accordance with the article 128 of the Law on Higher Education;
This programme aims to provide contemporary knowledge in the field of security studies, a firmer grasp of theoretical and research possibilities and, therefore, an objective and critical examination of security phenomena and issues.
It should also develop academic skills and competences for theoretical and research work, concurrent with the development of and accomplishments in the field of security world-wide. These include:

Thorough knowledge and understanding of the issues the science of security deals with

Conducting complex individual research activities and solving theoretical and practical problems in the field of security

Critical evaluation of the scope and results of research in the field of security
After the successful completion of this programme, the candidates are awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the Field of Security.
