Postgraduate Certificate Studies in Forensic Science
Studies in Forensic Physical Chemistry and Forensic Management

at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry and the Faculty of Security Studies

The postgraduate certificate studies programme in forensic science is defined by the Statute of the Faculty of Physical Chemistry and the Statute of the Faculty of Security Studies as a joint postgraduate certificate programme with two modules. The first module is taken at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry and the second module is taken at the Faculty of Security Studies.

The postgraduate certificate studies aim to train students for future work in security services and institutions in the field of forensic physical chemistry and forensic management. The programme builds up on the bachelor's degree programme at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, the Faculty of Security Studies or a degree in a relevant discipline from an affiliated faculty. Students who do not meet the requirements for this programme may be enrolled under the circumstances specified by the statutes of the two faculties.

On successful completion of the programme, students receive the Postgraduate Certificate of Specialization in Forensic Science. The diploma supplement contains information on completed modules and courses and the corresponding academic title.

The programme, worth a minimum of 60 ECTS, comprises 4 courses (3 compulsory and 1 optional) and a thesis.
